Dana Jepsen brings an extensive background in construction and construction management to the tasks of communicating design intent through the development of both conceptual drawings and construction documents. He develops plans and specifications for Balance design projects, from 30% to 100% design drawings, and provides onsite construction support for many of Balance’s stream restoration projects. In addition to his work in engineering, Dana routinely performs field work conducting water quality analysis, hydrologic and geomorphic monitoring and regularly collects field samples to conduct further examination following laboratory analysis.

I work with people who decide to make good things happen every day. It isn’t always easy, and can certainly be a struggle at times, but it is a gift that I am grateful for. That, and I can ride my bike to work.

Balance does a wonderful job supporting personal and professional growth. We are encouraged to continue to learn and to diversify our work. I have had the opportunity to work on a very wide range of projects and balance time between working in front of my computer with a variety of field work.

I would like to take a two week long rafting trip with my family… Maybe New Zealand? Ideal would be a trip that has a few stops for a day or two along the way so we could do some day hiking or lying about by the river.
